I got back on the eliptical machine day before yesterday for just 4 minutes, no problems, then yesterday for 9 minutes. So I go to bed last night with flaming painful shoulders and upper back with a swelling hot type feeling. I took ibu and went to bed. I want to continue but am afraid.

I haven't used my shoulder muscles for a long long time and I don't know if that would be normal for exercise. I have spent years babying my neck and shoulders.

I was diagnosed w herniated discs in the neck and then the chiro hurt my neck pretty bad but not a whole lot of changes in the mri I had after, it just took a good couple years to get the sharp pain across my neck to let up. Since the chiro injusty I am terrified again of having that kind of pain.

Posting about your symptoms suggests you are still subject to thinking physical and to the fear of injury.

Our bodies are strong and resilient. They heal quickly and quickly adjust to take what we throw at them.

There's just no way 4 + 9 minutes on the elliptical can hurt you so much physically.
