Posted - 12/26/2004 : 19:00:29 Hi,
So my headache/symptoms have been a bit better as of late, but something interesting happened a little over an hour ago. I was in my room doing my TMS work, which involves me talking to my brain via visualization. While I was in the middle of this process, the phrase "you have a chemical imbalance" just popped into my mind. Of course I then began getting anxious and voila! my headache intensified. I then took this as a distraction put forth by my unconscious, although I cannot say that I ignored the distraction completely; for I then began the usual: maybe I have a chemical imbalance and this is causing my headaches, I mean it's perfectly logical considering the fact that I am on medication for OCD, etc., etc. Now I know I must ignore my unconscious mind's plea, but it is difficult. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

No doubt that a chemical imbalance is to blame. The difference is that the TMS theory says that the brain causes the chemical changes. The chemical imbalance is the symptom, not the cause!
