Posted - 02/18/2005 : 19:29:56 Hi everyone, well I had started the forum about 2 weeks ago or so. I have been lookin for the book that you all are talkin about but I have had no luck this community. Well anyways my problem that I want to share andthat I have shared about 2 weeks ago with Dave is my dizziness. I have read the past websites with other peolples frustrations with the dizzys but now i need the assistance. I am a mental health counselor and at times I keep thinkin is this worth it. I wantto just lay in bed somtimes. I have been on antidepressants in the past such as paxil, zoloft, xanax, effexor and lexapro. The effexor xr I was on almost 2 years and felt ok. But since I been off of them in October I feeel like a roller coaster. I am dizzy 24/7 anmd wantto cry. I fel my heart palpitates and it kind a scares me. I am frustrated with this dizzy feeling. I wantto beat this and just go back to my normal self. I am going to a psychologist on monday to see what else I should do. I did go to herbal store and had taken 5htp but that seemed to help with the insomnia not the dizziness. I heard from others I shouild lay off the drugs. I still havin problems sleeping, but I can deal with it. I just need some suggestions on what to do with the dizzys. I am think9in about going to chiropractor. I had a brain mri, and a bunch of other things and everythin was normal.. PLEAser Give me Ideas thanks for your time, alison

Posted - 08/09/2006 : 22:09:34 I have had a similar problem which I believe to be an equivalent of TMS. My ears hurt and sometimes feel plugged up. When this happens it triggers a vertigo/dizziness effect. The ony thing that has worked for me is Lorazepam or Kolonopin. I am also using affirmations to remind myself that this is just another horrible distraction casued by my brain. It is very difficult to deal with. I would suggest trying .25mg of kolonpin as needed. It's longer lasting than the Lorazepam. Feel free to e-mail me with questions. redrocktitle@cox.net
