Excerpted from "TENNIS MAGAZINE" from an article 'Compression Clothing Has Become a Tennis Staple' : July/August 2021, page 29 :

"While research supporting performance advantages has been inconclusive, the area that compression wear has shown the greatest efficacy is recovery, including reduced soreness and increased readiness to perform. Since these are perceived reactions, there is the possibility that a compression piece generates a placebo effect. Yet whether it's physiological or psychological, the benefits are still real. And since they cause no harm, the only cost for implementing compression wear into your game will be your wallet."
