Hi I'm a piano player.... experiencing extensive stiffness and pain in right ring finger. Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.
Tried the traditional MSM Tumeric and various anti inflammatories

I had pain and stiffness plus a locking of the joint that was very painful to straighten in that finger. I had acupuncture and other treatments by an acupuncturist--four or five treatments. There is still only very minor stiffness. That problem and the pain in a lower swollen joint of the thumb were successfully treated.

I now suspect the pain was TMS, but I didn't think about that at the time. Typically of me, I started having very annoying seasonal allergies not long after the hand pain lessened! I don't go long without new TMS or equivalent episodes.
