I would hate to be a teenager again. In many cases the tremendous pressure to conform or look a certain way is even greater on them then it is on us adults. Many teens have not developed the life skills or emotional strength necessary to resist these pressures, thus they give in to the peer pressure or develop a low self image of themselves if they are unable to comform. Many of these feelings remain with us the rest of our lives. Always trying to conform. Always trying to please others. Never satisfied with with what we have or what we look like for fear of what others my say or think. Living in a box with no way of escape, which generates anger, lots and lots of anger |
