I have worst eye strain than he has. My job required me to stared at the computer screen for long period of time every day. I find it very difficult to un-strain my eyes.
Ace1, how long it take you to start noticed improvement in your eye sight after you've read dr. Bate's book?

Well, don't worry that your starting from the point where your at, youll still get better if you give it enough time. Really I would like you to think of the eye correction exactly like tms. What happens is the muscles in the eye tense from a mental strain, but the glasses also are like crutches that perpetuate the tension. Also you can think that you are not using your eyes in a peaceful manner, your more so abusing them or forcing them to try to see. I know this is hard but you really have to get rid of your glasses to make any real progress. I want you to be safe also so you may want to not wear glasses in all situations were they are not absolutely required. In situations were they needed, it would be best to use the weakened pair of glasses if you can. I haven't worn any glasses at all for last 6 mons and a very minimal amount 9 months before that when I first started the process. You also need to either print or buy an eye chart and practice reading it if you can everyday. It is good if you already know the letters bc memory helps you improve you vision. Believe it or not using affirmations like - my eyes and mind are relaxed and I see bright clear and perfect are helpful. I can say this in my mind over and over and watch my vision improve temporarily in front of me. The way it will work is you will get clear flashes as you do things right, but your mind is so used to doing things wrong that it doesn't last. However as you keep doing it your baseline get very slowly better but you will still have fluctuations. Eventually your baseline will be around normal but will you and everyone can have some normal fluctuations to life's stressors. My wife had a much weaker prescription of about - 2.25 and she has improved to almost normal in about 1 year with her prescription down to - 0.25. She had gone to the eye doctor to confirm. I haven't been I'm waiting to get to normal first. I started to see improvement in a few months, but it happens so gradually, it's hard to notice but when you go to places with far signs I could read them. Good luck with it. I think you'll improve fast like you did with your tms but give it the time it needs if it doesn't. |

One more thing, the computer is not causing the strain. It's the intensity of what ever your doing on the computer that is causing the strain. That strain is virtually a tms of the eyes |

Thanks Ace1, I will do what you're suggested. I have a little difficulty accept that my poor eye sight is tms and not due to getting old. I feel better now than I ever did. Peaceful, content, happy, relax,... all the time for years now. I do what I want, go places, eat everything. Things that use to drive me nuts now don't bother me much anymore. I honestly think I have freed myself of tms/anxiety, and now you say this poor eye sight thing is a form of tms, am I understand you right or is it that you think we can pretty much train our eyes to be back to perfect or near perfect just by using the same method we're been using to deal with tms/anxiety?

Yes, but it is better described as a mental strain and eye strain that you do to yourself. In other words you are sabotaging your own vision Believe it or not I feel that tms is more so of a mental and phyisical strain but of a different sort. I also think hair loss is also a type of strain too if you feel your head is tingling or drawing your attention I think this is what is making the hair thin. I see a link with baldness and poor eyesite bc these people tend to strain with that general region. When you read dr bates' writings you will see that although he was around in the early 1900s. He helped reverse thinks like glaucoma, cataract, lazy eyes, all kinds of blurry vision and also back pain among other things. I think your belief will limit you if you believe it is related just to old age as I think mind power would be helpful in the reversal. Im not saying this is easy, but I am sure of the cause. Just bc you haven't succeeded doesn't mean that it's not the right diagnosis. It's kind of like how it took you years to figure out what you were doing wrong with tms reversal. As you read more of dr bates you will see his stories are not very different from success stories from tms patients. Let me know if you have more questions |
