I need some help. A year ago, I successfully healed myself of debilitating pain in my hands and arms using TMS techniques. What an amazing adventure it was! Now I have painful, itchy "eczema" symptoms on my hands and wrists. I am 99% certain that it is TMS based on Sarno's books and the fact that my dermatologist does not know what causes eczema. I have been meditating and self-talking but am getting no relief. I am very frustrated and need a boost of self confidence! Have others suffered from eczema and had success with TMS techniques? What else can I try. I have not started journaling again but think that might help. Thanks!

I had psoriasis my entire life, until accepting the TMS diagnosis, at which point it vanished.

My mom has had various skin rashes through the years, all TMS (but she doesn't accept the diagnosis).

There is really nothing new to "try" to get rid of any particular TMS symptom. You just need to stay convinced that it is TMS, ignore it as best as you can, and trust that it will fade eventually.

Me, too, although it seems to be a subject of debate whether it is psoriasis or eczema. Mine is definitely worse when I am anxious or stressed out. Obviously, it's tms but I got it instead of some worse stuff (fibromyalgia, primarily) so I am almost willing to let it be to avoid something truly nasty. Not quite, though.

Mostly, I use a mild o-t-c cortisone creme and talk to it to let it know I know what it's up to! I also figure out the ways I am stressing out unnecessarily and try to lighten up. This seems to keep it under reasonable control.

Best of luck. We will be interested in hearing what works (or doesn't) for you. Everyone's tms story is a good learning experience for all of us.

Thanks for the thoughtful responses. It helps to hear other folks confirm that it is TMS. My doctor prescribed steroid cream which I have stopped using because I don't want to mask the symptoms. It is interesting that my previous TMS symptoms were pain in my hands and wrists and now it's itching in my hands and wrists. What is my unconscious trying to tell me? My last round with this I did a lot of journaling, reading, and self talk but eventually I had to stop doing any of it and just ignore it.
