I've been battling TMS for a number of months now. In the last several weeks it seems to hitting me all over -- lower back, middle back, ankle pain, hips, body aches and pains, and recently the top of my left foot. It seems like every time I stand up I have to pause for all the aches and pains to announce themselves. I have heard that sometimes an increase in symtpoms is a good thing, as it sometimes happen before things improve significantly. Anyone out there with a similar experience? |

Hi Jeff, Symptoms which intensify, change or move around during knowledge therapy treatment definitely help to confrim the psychosomatic causation. This experience is common and might be a sign that the mind is trying everything and anything to protect its distractive investment. Keep working at it and you might just break through to the other side. You simply have to absolutely beat the subconscious at its own game and convince it that the symptoms mean nothing to you. You will not be intimidated and you will win. Once this sinks in, I am sure your pain will say goodbye. Best to you. - Sensei

Hi Jeff, Sensei said it very well! I have had the same experience which i call the symphony of pain...Pain moving all over the place..several areas at once hurting and then back to one or two areas..Mine gets worse based on the level of stress in my current life.. Take care, Karen |

Thanks for the encouragement. I will continue to focus on the psychological and try as best I can to diminish the physical. |

This is so true. AMAZINGLY true, for me. And it isn't immediate, like you say, Pain Begone, and It Is Gone. It's much more subtle (because it doesn't want you to totally get how psychological it is probably) and it kind of sneaks away over time with its tail between its legs.
In retrospect, the whole TMS thing which moved around my body for 30 years in a big way is like a naughty, sneaky and nasty little demon.
Har har, I got ya now, demon, piss orf!
Love is the answer, whatever the question |

I too have had a plethora of symptoms all in tandem. One after the other, it just wouldn't give (that is, until I got Sarno-ized). I had so many aches and pains I had myself convinced I must have rheumatoid arthritis. Now I am wiser, smarter and I fully use my subconcsious for everything it's capable of. I tell my concdious mind to stop it, and to fly right, and that message sinks into the subconcious, where as I understand it, everything is stored, and my minds get the message and it passes. Hang in there. |
