This article further articulates what Dr. Sarno says about scans, herniated discs, and pain. Basically it says that just because a scan shows that you have an abnormality, it doesn't mean that the abnormality is the cause of your pain.

Wish they would have taken it one step further and mentioned Sarno and TMS.

good article. My fav quote:

TMS is normal.

Ok, one more:

"“I continue to live with this, whatever they call it, this arthritic knee,” she said."

hahah, whatever they call it. Call it TMS, baby.

Yes, it was interesting that the Dr. dismissed the torn cartilage as "erroneous" but then embraced the even more nebulous, catch-all "arthritis."
