                      | Hi busted, Osteonecrosis is avascular necrosis, which is very similar to TMS in that its a ischemic disorder.  While it may be a real physical problem, it doesnt mean that TMS is NOT a factor.  There is a lack of blood supply to the bone, causing it to detoriorate.  Personally there a lot of factors that your mom needs to determine, but take it one step at a time and see what works and she should take a tms approach with it (ie. continue to do physical activity, think positivly etc), but may need to just modify it to her condition ie - swimming instead of running etc.

 On a side note - in the divided mind there are cases of "bad hips" that have degenerated over time that were infact tms, but once again - they are dr.s and able to make those distinction.
